About the group

VR Meditation

VR Meditation is a calm community group on VRChat - a place to set the day down for a little while, breathe, and rest in good company.

We meet in serene virtual worlds to share guided meditations, gentle breathwork, and quiet wind-down time. Some of us keep a daily practice; some of us just wandered in looking for a moment of stillness. Both belong here. There's nothing to prove and nothing to perform - you can follow along out loud, sit in silence, or simply lie back and listen.

Virtual reality turns out to be a surprisingly lovely place to meditate. A headset quiets the outside world, the worlds we sit in are beautiful and still, and being gently present with other people - even as avatars - makes the practice easier to keep. Come as you are, stay as long as feels right, and breathe.

What to expect

Guided meditation

Body scans, visualisations, and gentle attention practices, led by a host. Follow the voice and let the world go quiet.

Breathwork & stillness

Grounding breath patterns to steady the nervous system, then open silence. A soft reset in just a few minutes.

Calm company

Low-key wind-down hangs in beautiful worlds. Chat softly, watch the sky, or rest in shared quiet.

Keeping the space calm

  1. Soft presence. Mics low, movements gentle - so everyone can actually unwind.
  2. Kindness first. Be patient and welcoming to newcomers and seasoned meditators alike.
  3. Comfort is yours. Sit, stand, lie down, mute, or step away whenever you need.

Meditation here is for relaxation, rest, and a little shared calm - it is not therapy or medical care, and it is never a substitute for professional help if you need it.
